Lina: Мне вот интересно: что вы думаете и что ждете от этого фильма. Состав-то многообещающий, но оправдает ли он наши надежды и на кого вы возлагаете их?

The collections have held up well this week at multiplexes and big cities and the advance for the second weekend is very good. The smaller centres are not up to the mark and have seen falling collections but the phenomenal collections from urban India may take the film to a 60 crore nett gross. In the first week it may notch up 8 crore alone from the three big cities in Mumbai circuit of Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Pune. Bangalore seems to be heading for 75 lakhs+ while Delhi is certain to fetch another record. The collections from just Indore and Bhopal will see it winning in CI. In East Punjab, the collections from just Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Gurgaon and Faridabad will be in the 1.50 crore region. CP Berar and Bihar are weakest as there are no multiplexes in these circuits although collections in bigger cities of CP Berar like Nagpur, Jabalpur and Raipur are good. The media has said the film has a poor word of mouth but this is not true unless they have made this film a special case and are talking about the word of mouth in places like Hissar or Hanumangarh when normally for every film its Mumbai or Delhi. Анечка, я скачала первую часть КАНКа с инета...плохо что его немного сократили...хотелось бы его полностью посмотреть. Вообще- фильм мне очень понравился. Вот только Раньку я терпеть не могу. Но все равно с интересом смотрела(сжимая сердце в кулак).

Maya: KANK НА ФЕСТИВАЛЕ В ТОРОНТО Для Карана Джохара не было удивительным то, что «KABHI ALVIDA NAA KAHNA» (KANK) выбрали для показа на кино-фестивале в Торонто. Он предполагал об этом давно. Он считает, что у этого фильма было удачное начало. Каран Джохар сказал, что в мае, на Каннском кинофестивале, он встретился с главой торонтовского кинофестиваля Камерон Бейли. Тот очень заинтересовался фильмом. «Я очень рад, что KANK выбрали для кинофестиваля и думаю, что это поможет открыть новый рынок в Америке. Я не припоминаю, чтобы раньше хинди-фильм был выбран для премьеры в Торонто» - сказал Каран Джохар. Фестиваль будет проходить с 7-го по 16 сентября. Но KANK станет исключением, т.к. он выходит на экраны 11 августа. «Хотя мой фильм выходит на экраны в Индии 11 августа, Бейли проявил к нему интерес. Главная заслуга этого принадлежит Минакши Шедде из Times of India, которая отстаивала интересы фильма. Управление фестиваля в Торонто решили сделать внеплановый просмотр. Всем 14 членам жюри понравился KANK и они выбрали его для премьерного показа. Каран Джохар планирует взять с собой на кинофестиваль всех актёров фильма: Абхишека и Амитабха Баччана, Шахрукх Кхана, Рани Мукхерджи и Прити Зинту. KANK будет показан 10 сентября. Этот фильм ещё не вышел в Индии, но Каран Джохар и актёры фильма надеются на высшую оценку зрителей.
Maya: Рецензия о фильме одного очень хорошего мужчины. KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA. Говорят, основой брака должна быть только любовь и больше ничего. Но если основа заложена неправильно, взаимоотношения рушаться... Две семейные пары: Дэв(Шахрукх) и Рия(Прейти) - Риши(Абхишек) и Майя(Рани). Четыре судьбы, переплетающиеся в тугой жизненный клубок, где каждый несчастлив по своему, где каждый ищет счастья, где каждый ищет любви, потому что без любови и счастья жизнь пуста и уныла, как дождливый осенний день. Дэв и Майя - для них все могло сложиться иначе еще в самом начале. Судьба давала им такой шанс, но они прошли мимо друг друга... Дэв и Рия - и их жизнь могла бы сложиться по другому, будь они более чуткими друг к другу, потому что брак - это взаимопонимание, это взаимопожертвование и взаимодоверие... Риши и Майя - в их жизни все должно было быть так, как сложилось в самом начале. В этом нет вины Риши, потому что он любит свою жену и страдает от ее нелюбви. В этом нет вины Майи, не способной перешагнуть через себя, не способной разжечь огонь там, где суждено быть только золе. Просто не надо думать, что "стерпится, слюбится" - в этом главная вина. Жизнь играет судьбами людей, как ей вздумается. Она сводит дороги их судеб, когда они должны разойтись, и разлучает людей, стремящихся друг к другу всем сердцем. Дэв и Майя... Для тех, кто пережил нечто подобное, для тех, кто страдает в одиночестве рядом с близким, но чужим человеком - этот фильм откровение, фильм - крик души, взывающий остановиться и задуматься - что для нас любовь? что для нас счастье? в праве ли мы жертвовать своим счастьем и любовью, ради другого? нужно ли жертвовать своим счастьем и любовью для счастья и любви другого?.. Блистающие звезды фильма - Шахрукх и Рани - прожили жизни своих героев, словно свои. Абхишек в роли страдающего, одинокого мужа был тоже убедителен, хотя и не гениален. Прейти старалась, как могла придать своей героине побольше жизни, хотя ее роль и выглядела проходной. Больше всего раздражал Амитабх - так и хотелось назвать его за наряды "петух гамбургский". Роль престарелого ловеласа можно было бы сыграть более тонко и изящно, без позерства и шутовства. Но в целом фильм вполне заслуживает звание хита.

With "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" in 1998, he made us see how friendship is the root to love; with "Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham" in 2001, he made us appreciate our parents; and almost five years later, we get "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna", based on the sanctity of marriages. Expect the unexpected as this film is an emotional drama with no frills, no college scenes or characters named Poo. Karan Johar ventures into a territory exploring a subject that most filmmakers have turned into a sleaze fest. It is safe to say that he does not disappoint with his third film. This young director has once again created simple but unforgettable characters with a story that is very progressive about relationships. Dev Saran (Shahrukh Khan) is an ex-footballer who becomes handicapped after an injury. With his tenacious and career-oriented wife Rhea (Preity Zinta), he has a son. Rhea's success combined with his own failure shatters Dev’s ego, causing much tension in their home. Maya Talwar (Rani Mukerji) is a sensitive character who tries to compensate for her inability to bear a child. Despite the fact that her husband Rishi (Abhishek Bachchan), a stylish PR consultant,loves her passionately, the couple suffer from intimacy issues. Maya is searching for something more deep and meaningful in her relationship and Rishi’s attention and devotion to her, in her point of view lacks something, emotionally and physically. While both couples have their share of marital problems, Dev and Maya realize that they might be each other’s soul mates. Maya sees Dev as the one man who understands her fully and can re-ignite the passion within her, while Dev sees her as the woman who captures his thoughts and brings meaning to his lonely, incomplete life. However, neither of them realize their new found love will cause unforeseen repercussions and a collision of lives and emotions, affecting everyone involved. "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna" poses numerous questions that you are left wondering about even after the movie ends. What would you do if you were married to someone, you might love or not, and then meet your soul mate? Can you sacrifice a relationship in a flash for the person you think you are meant to be with? Can happiness bloom in a garden of lies? Can friendship compensate for love in a marriage? Can marriages get a second chance despite flaws? Certain portions of the movie will have you go on a roller coaster of emotions, its unpredictablity carrying upto the climax. The story (by Karan Johar) is intriguing from the start, but looses momentum near the end of the film. Writer Shibani Bathija ("Fanaa") does much better with her screenplay, but makes the second half a bit too melodramatic. Cinematography by Anil Mehta captures New York as the ideal city backdrop for the movie. Art direction by Sharmistha Roy is like a dream set in almost every frame to suit the theme and mood of the scene. Special marks to makeup for making Rani and Preity look gorgeous throughout the film, along with costumes (Manish Malhotra) which were trendsetting, metrosexual for the men, with colors that truly stood out (red and black). Dialogues are award-worthy by Niranjan Iyengar, which seem straight out of life (especially during confrontation scenes). Music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will gain more popularity with the movie’s release; watch for “Where’s the Party Tonight”, “Tumhi Dekho Na”, and “Mitwa” to have have you mesmerized. Editing by Sanjay Sankla is the biggest flaw and the movie needs to be cut by at least twenty minutes towards the climax. Performances will bring big competition during the awards season. Shahrukh Khan is solid as the angry, sarcastic, mean husband that makes you detest and admire him at the same time. Rani sinks her teeth into Maya’s character, bringing forth the pain she goes through. Preity as the intelligent and confident wife plays her role with conviction. Abhishek Bachchan keeps improving and shows shades of his father in the emotional scenes. Amitabh Bachchan (as Rishi’s philandering and sexy father Sam) is different and shows why he is still around. Kirron Kher (as Dev’s mom Kamaljit) shares great chemistry with Amitabh. Arjun Rampal is limited in his role, while Kajol and John Abraham add extra glamour to some songs. Karan Johar is now a mature storyteller who chooses a very risky topic that people will either love or hate. The main star of this venture, he creates some unforgettable scenes, comic and emotional. You’ll know once you see the scenes how effectively Karan can evoke a reaction from the audience on cue. "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna" is not a family film and is intended for a mature audience that is open-minded to the modern world. The movie does not embrace the idea that compromise in marriage can bring true happiness and love. The film will be a big success overseas, perhaps due to more liberal audiences, and is a recommended watch at least once. Enjoy! planetbollywood
